I’m passionate about people and business. I believe in living your best life – surround yourself with great people, lean in to new experiences, say yes to adventure. While I was never the best student in school, I found my niche in business. Navigating organizational politics comes instinctively to me, and I love playing “the game.”
I spent the first 12 years of my career at Facebook and experienced the company’s growth from 220 employees to 35,000+. It was the ride of a lifetime – during which I had the opportunity to work alongside the smartest people I’ve ever met, create roles for myself that previously hadn’t existed within the company, and learn from countless re-orgs and regime changes. I discovered my passion for people management early on and have led several global teams across sales and product marketing. My greatest joy is connecting with high potential talent on a deeply personal level to expand their own perceived, and actual, potential. I started Taylor Tilley Coaching to make what’s always been my favorite part of the job, my whole job.
I moved to Miami with my husband last year after living in NYC for the last 6 years, and in London for the 5 years before that. Our favorite thing to do is travel together; we have an ever-evolving bucket list of destinations and are always in the midst of planning our next adventure. I’m a big ‘family person’ and consider my 3 siblings and parents my best friends – we have A LOT of fun together. I’m a long-time subscriber to the ‘work hard, play hard’ philosophy!

2007:
Started at Facebook NY as an intern and became full time shortly after. Hired as an Account Manager in the NY office, living the quintessential start up hustle. Creating systems as we went and teaching major clients how to navigate the News Feed so that they would buy their first ads with us.
December 2008:
Transferred to our London office to help scale global operations as we expanded across EMEA. Original assignment was intended to be 2 years which quickly turned into 5 based on how much I loved it.
2008-2013:
Fell in love with London, traveling Europe, and learning to scale a business internationally. I managed large Account Management teams and eventually shifted into Product Marketing as their first international hire beyond HQ.
2013-2018:
Returned to NYC (with my now husband who I met in the London office) and lead a number of product marketing teams, positioning our value between sales and product, helping the business translate market intel to build against, as well as identifying our go to market strategies.
2018:
The final position I held was leading an arm of our global PMM team responsible for building our outbound priorities across the full family of Apps and Services (Facebook, Instagram, Messenger, Whatsapp, Marketplace, emerging products, etc).
Nov 2018:
Handed in my notice to explore the real world and to figure out who I was without my Facebook identity. More on that below.
2019:
Started Taylor Tilley Coaching and continue to travel extensively!

We will start the first session by aligning on your professional and personal goals over a specified period of time. We’ll spend time understanding why that is important to you, what is blocking you, and tactically how to move forward. As your coach, I help you ask the right questions of yourself and to articulate your fears in order to remove them as barriers.
To “play the game” is to understand that it’s all about people. Together, we’ll consider the motives, fears, and goals of relevant stakeholders. These insights empower you to identify who can help you and how to leverage your network in order to achieve your goals.

philosophy
I have also been trained throughout my life to trust my gut instinct even when it doesn’t feel logical and to face my fears head on. I found myself on a run one Friday night and had an aha moment so strong that it stopped me in my tracks – literally. I was overwhelmed with the realization that it was my time to leave Facebook. I had become too comfortable and too stressed, not a great combo. I was also terrified of leaving the only professional identity I had ever known, and a team that made me feel like I had a safe home. Which meant it was even more important that I do that. I had hired incredible leaders who were managing the teams I lead, and it was time for me to step aside and give them a bigger platform to shine on.
We get one life to live and a life left unexplored is not a life I wanted to look back on. I’m one year removed, I still love the company, the people, and the products. But I’m also happier, freer and immensely grateful to the opportunities that have presented themselves once I stopped living in fear.
